Key Dates

With a main venue and others around the heart of Athens, you have the flexibility to spend several days exploring and immersing yourself in photography—whether it’s just an hour, a few hours, or a couple of days. Make sure not to miss the main exhibitions, scheduled to run throughout June and July 2024 at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138. Prior to your visit, please check the opening and closing days of the city venues, as satellite exhibitions have different opening days and hours.


Main program venue
The Festival’s main program will occupy all the exhibition spaces of the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters.

Opening hours
Thursday, Sunday 10:00 – 18:00
Friday, Saturday 10:00 – 22:00

The bookshop and the snack bar-Restaurant are open during the opening hours of the Museum.

The main venue of the Athens Photo Festival is barrier-free for disabled visitors. The exhibitions are accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooter users via a lift.

Upon your arrival at the festival, you can purchase the Exhibition Catalog, and the map of the spaces is available at the festival’s info point.

Take advantage of the festival staff throughout the main exhibitions, available for information and brief explanations.

Tickets & Passes

We make photography accessible through affordable pricing and free admission for specific groups.

General Admission
Full admission: 12€
Reduced admission: 8€ (Students, persons over 65, teachers archaeologists, conservators members of Hellenic Chamber of Fine Arts)
Free admission: Unemployment card holders, children and young people under 22.

Festival Pass
The Festival Pass allows free admission to the main venue, exhibitions, guided tours, artist talks and open labs.

Tickets and Passes will be available for sale, at the Museum’s Ticket Desk.

Guided Tours

Guided tours by specialized guide at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138 provided at selected dates and hours. Bookings for groups are made either by telephone at 210 9211750, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, or online at

Guided tour duration: 90’
Number of participants: From 10 to 20 people
Guided tour cost: 3 € / person
