The exhibition features a selection of photographs of Greek-born photographer
Vassi Koutsaftis taken from 1984 onwards during the artist’s travels to Tibet, Nepal,
Bhutan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar and Cambodia.
Koutsaftis’ photographs depict the monks and nomads he encountered in these
lands and capture on fi lm, places that have become symbols of religious belief.
His photographs bear valuable witness to societies whose values have remained
unchanged through time. At the same time his work expresses the geographic
and ethnographic diversity of our world.
