Dedicated to our fl eeting moments, Trissevgeni Arhonta, focuses her attention on
«small things» – witnesses to the reality that encloses us. Known events, sometimes
distant, sometimes abstract, provide the occasion for images-landscapes that
distance themselves both from documentation and aim to «train» our eyes in a
simple yet bizarre manner – a very emotional manner.
In her work, the texture of the images places this visual journey in a turning
point – an intermediate situation between saying goodbye and meeting someone
for the fi rst time. Here, photography is the result of both an aesthetic and a
technical approach. It either seems to almost fade away, dissolve or become a
memory, or to appear to the viewer as an image revealing itself to him from the
moment he sees it, as waking up from a deep sleep.
