The video projection of Judith Pichlmüller shows those psychosomatic heavy
moments where one has to confront her/himself with reality. Life’s traumatic
episodes as death, sadness, loneliness and broken feelings can’ t be ignored over
the time. At these moments of clearness and acceptance of the dark feelings,
silence comes in and the body reacts.
Mythology is full of strong women’s stories of seeing the truth but kept being
unheard. Medea (in the old version she is a healer and very self-confi dent), Pythia
(she is a seer and a priest) and foremost the story of Kassandra, who was damned
to see and but society didn’t trust her. They all tried to deal with the reality they
could see, but no one else could. That changed and infected history. To see clearly
it needs braveness. Greeks Mythology tells stories from male heroes, the heroines
get less attention. Gnothi seauton.
