The Modern Images of Serbia is an exhibition that traces with a very penetrating and very imaginative way the Balkan way of life. These images operate without being linked to a specific time or place beyond perhaps only the Balkan atmosphere, creating a surrealism. Bulwarks between the present and the past and in some cases may show us a sneak peak of the future. They are images representative of moments… destructive, triumphant, crucial and maybe sometimes arrogant. The Images of Modern Serbia, acting as a contemporary surrealist tale can be told without the accompaniment of speech.
