I have been working on migration issues the last 8 years. This project researches the human and social adaptability. The term adaptability is used, in general, to describe an ability to return to an original state and refers specifically to the ability of people to adapt to change. It is clear that, as with many other relevant terms in the current literature, adaptability refers not only to the ability to maintain or return to a previous state, but also to adapt and to learn to live with uncertainties. It is increasingly believed that adaptability can enable people to deal with emergencies by using their own resources and their own experience. This project is a part of my long term project about migration. These pictures have been taken on the Greek islands of Samos and Lesbos outside of the refugee camps.
