Exploring critical issues of our times, the festival attempts to bring together a range of different perspectives from emerging and established artists and photographers from all over the world with the aim to raise awareness and foster an understanding of contemporary culture and society through photography in all its forms. The exhibition program of the festival will be comprised of a series of solo and group exhibitions, presenting a wide variety of works, ranging from fine art to documentary and photojournalism, photo-based installations to multimedia.
Our program works within an international, national and local context, encompassing a variety of activities designed to reflect the diversity of contemporary photographic practice, and to create opportunities for exchange of ideas, artistic expression and international engagement.
The 2018 main program will take place from 6 June to 29 July 2018, at the Benaki Museum. Our curatorial team sets out to develop further this broad framework in relation to the works submitted for this call. The exhibition program will be divided into thematic sections, striving to create a dialogue between different thematic ideas, woven into one whole.
