My work is about my experiential relation with metropolitan Athens, her history, her people, places that reflect their everyday life. Places that may constitute chances for amusement and personal show, and simultaneously places in which the common grounds cannot be reinvented for those who share a common fate. Spaces that may look empty, unexploited, almost non-existed, but are mirroring by the most definite way the asymmetry of social reality. My goal is, through a selective itemization of elements and characters, to represent with a symbolic and potential realistic way an environment that seems unable to get in a substantial connection with it’s own history, to create a sincere relation with it. A fragmented history, full of myths and illusions.
